Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s father Mathew addressed a certain infamous family feud from 2014 while appearing on Thursday’s episode of The Wendy Williams Show.
In footage obtained by TMZ, his 31-year-old daughter Solange viciously attacked his son-in-law Jay-Z as the 36-year-old pop diva stood by in a Standard Hotel elevator.
“I have to tell you, I laughed so hard,” the 66-year-old ‘dad-ager’ admitted to the 53-year-old host. “I laughed so hard because if you know Solange, that’s Solange. You just never know what you’re gonna get – a firecracker. I don’t know where she gets that from!”
The Music World Entertainment CEO added: “Then Beyoncé would be in the corner, quiet, just kinda, like ‘When y’all finish, let me know.’ So I laughed.”
Queen Bey made sly mention of the incident on the remix for her 2014 track Flawless: “Of course sometimes s*** goes down when it’s a billion dollars on the elevator.”
