Joycelyn Savage, the woman allegedly being held captive in R. Kelly’s ‘sex cult’, claims her father knew exactly how she ended up living with the singer nearly two years ago. ‘I am happy where I’m at and the people that I’m around, and it’s getting out of hand – seriously,’ Joycelyn said in a video released to TMZ.

‘Because honestly you know the situation that had happened on the night that I went to meet R Kelly.’

A friend has claimed that it was Joycelyn’s father, Timothy, who encouraged the now 21-year-old woman to live with R. Kelly almost two years ago after the family met the performer at a concert. The plan hatched by Timothy, R. Kelly and others, was for Joycelyn to live at R. Kelly’s house while she developed her voice, and it was Timothy who dropped her at a friend’s house to be driven to the singer’s house, a source told TMZ. The source said that Timothy – who previously claimed his daughter had Stockholm Syndrome – knew Joycelyn would stay at R Kelly’s for months, but did not know she would be there for years. Joycelyn now says that her father is ’embarrassing’ her whole family and has begged him to stop trying to contact her.
