Senators Meet Ahead Of Hearing To Find Ways To Tackle Gun Control

The Senate is not in session this week, but a bipartisan group is meeting to find common ways to tackle gun control. Next week, the House Judiciary Committee will be holding a hearing to outline a gun control bill. Many members of Congress were speaking out on the issue over the weekend.

Congressman Joaquin Castro, who is calling for a federal investigation of the Uvalde school shooting, says he also wants new legislation making assault weapons harder to obtain. 

On ABC’s This Week, Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut mentioned a few actions he believes should be taken (full video of interview below).
