(AURN News) – A recent CNN poll shows that Americans on the lower end of the economic spectrum continue to feel the pain in what many describe as a K-shaped economy.

The term refers to an economy where those at the top continue to build wealth while those at the bottom struggle with job losses, rising costs and growing financial pressure.

The survey found that 70% of Americans now disapprove of President Donald Trump’s handling of the economy, the highest level recorded during either his first or second term.

When asked to rate economic conditions in the country, 73% said they were either somewhat poor or very poor.

The poll also found that the cost of living and rising expenses remain the biggest economic problems facing American families.
