All four police officers involved in the death of George Floyd are facing federal civil rights charges.

Derek Chauvin, who was found guilty of murder last month, willfully deprived George Floyd of his right to be free from an unreasonable seizure and from the use of unreasonable force. Officers Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane failed to intervene or to give Floyd medical attention.

Floyd family attorney Benjamin Crump praised the decision as a reinforcement to the strength and wisdom of the US Constitution.
