Evanston, IL Laying Groundwork to Pay Reparations to Black Residents

Evanston, Illinois, located outside Chicago, could soon lead the way in reparations for Black Americans. The city pledged $10 million to a local fund established to support initiatives addressing the historical wealth and opportunity gaps for Black residents. The funds are eligible to persons having origins in any of the Black racial and ethnic groups of Africa.
