In 1979 American novelist and activist James Baldwin wrote a letter to his agent describing his next project, “Remember This House.” Unfortunately, at the time of his death in 1987, Baldwin had only completed 30 pages of his manuscript.
The novel was expected to a revolutionary, personal account of the lives and successive assassinations of Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr. In the new documentary “I Am Not Your Negro,” filmmaker Raoul Peck envisions the book Baldwin never finished.
