(AURN News) — President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly criticized mail-in voting, cast his ballot by mail in Florida’s Republican primary.

“You know what? Because I’m President of the United States, and because of the fact that I’m President of the United States, I did a mail-in ballot,” Trump said.

Trump cast his ballot by mail in today’s Florida Republican primary.

This is not the first time Trump has voted by mail in Florida. He also used a mail ballot in a special election in March, the same month he signed an executive order seeking tighter deadlines and new verification requirements for mail voting nationwide.

Federal courts have already blocked key parts of the order. The Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court to step in and allow those restrictions to take effect.

Trump has now used mail voting twice in Florida, even as he continues pushing for tighter restrictions on the practice nationwide.
