President Biden and Vice President Harris are doubling-down on two major issues; curbing the 30% surge in homicides nationwide and reduce gun violence.

President Biden held a round-table discussion today with Attorney General Merrick Garland and local leaders from several major cities. The Justice Department created five new task forces which to crack down on illegal gun trafficking and support formerly incarcerated as they reenter society.

Vice President Harris was in Texas today supporting Democrats protesting voter suppression. The vice president later traveled to Detroit to to talk about voter suppression and vaccinations.
