(AURN News) — With the midterm elections just a few months away, Americans are focused on their wallets, and economic issues remain the top concern on the ballot.
According to a recent poll from Pew Research Center, the tribalism that exists in Washington still remains strong across the United States.
When asked which party they agreed with most on economic policy, 37% said the Democratic Party and 36% said the Republican Party.
When it comes to policies dealing with the budget deficit, 33% said they agreed more with Democrats, while 31% said they agreed more with Republicans.
Overall, economic issues remain the top concern, with 29% placing the overall economy as a top priority, 15% citing cost of living and affordability, 7% saying the general economy and 4% citing taxes.
The numbers show that even as partisan divides remain tight, Americans are still focused heavily on what is happening to their money.
