Beyonce, who is pregnant with twins, will not perform at Coachella this year, but will headline the festival in 2018. In a joint statement released Thursday, Feb. 23, Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice said the pop star had to pull out of the famed festival under doctor’s orders. In typical Beyonce style, the star kept the due date of her babies under wraps during her pregnancy.

However, fans were sent into a frenzy on June 14 when Beyonce was seen leaving her mansion and security at her local hospital was apparently stepped up. She had failed to show up to the Songwriters Hall Of Fame Awards in New York on June 15 and some fans reckoned she had already given birth in secret and was posting fake pictures on social media. She is reported to have given birth nearly a week ago, but that a minor issue is keeping them in the hospital.

What ever the true story is …..we hear it’s a girl and a boy. Daddy Jay-Z is so over the moon he is truly giving back to the community that raised him up. Jay-z may have gotten twins for father’s day but he did a lot more for others.

There have been the stories of Jay paying for funerals and the lawyer fees of those whose struggles he’s identified with, neither of which he’d go out of his way to publicize. But on Friday, June 16,  directly to the consciousness of supporters who’ve been awaiting an artist of his stature to advocate for them, Jay-Z has publicly taken on the bail industry per his essay in Time.

“This Father’s Day, I’m supporting those same organizations to bail out fathers who can’t afford the due process our democracy promises. As a father with a growing family, it’s the least I can do, but philanthropy is not a long fix, we have to get rid of these inhumane practices altogether. We can’t fix our broken criminal justice system until we take on the exploitative bail industry.”

The bottom line is that some black men got out of jail in time to enjoy their families for Fathers Day. Good for you Jay and Beyonce and congrats on the twins.
