State Farm has become the latest target of racial backlash over an ad featuring an interracial couple. A Tweet promoting the company’s #ProtecttheBling campaign features black male presenting a white woman with a ring.
Some on Twitter none too pleased, reacting with comments like, they’ll never use the company again; others calling for a boycott, while others stood up for diversity.
It was State Farm’s intention to simply remind folks to protect their investments with insurance.
