Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka’s five month courtship has come to an end amid claims that he was jealous of her closeness with ex-husband Nick Cannon.
Now, Nick is weighing in on the reports that he was at the center of Mariah’s latest breakup due to the amount of time they spend together. ‘Most men are jealous of me,’ he told Entertainment Tonight, being sure to add, ‘I’m joking. But I know nothing about it. For me, at the end of the day, she’s an amazing mother and we focus on our kids.’ Nick and Mariah walked the red carpet at the Kids Choice Awards together in March with their five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, a sight that was said to upset Tanaka.
A source told TMZ, who first reported the split, Bryan felt the display disrespected him and he demanded that she come home from the ceremony. Two days after the show, OK Magazine reported that Mariah and Nick, who filed for divorce in 2014, were seen having an argument as they sat in the audience.
