Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is rejecting bipartisan calls for a special committee to investigate Russian interference in the U.S. election, which American intelligence said was aimed in part at helping Republican Donald Trump defeat Democrat Hillary Clinton.
In reaction, civil rights leader Rev. Al Sharpton tells AURN News:
“As a man of faith, I have no faith that Mr. McConnell is seriously going after an investigation that would impair his political bedfellows.”

Meantime British news organizations, the Kremlin says nearly all communications between the U.S. and Russia are frozen. The Independent.co.uk reports, the ‘freeze’ comes after months of trading rhetoric over the hacking of Hillary Clinton’s emails and the conflict in Syria.’
