On Saturday Mo’Nique had a meltdown as she called out Lee Daniels, Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey, blaming them for her being shut out of Hollywood during her special at Harlem’s Apollo Theater in New York.
‘No, I was not blackballed,’ the Oscar winner told the audience, which was roaring with laughter. ‘I was whiteballed by some black d***s who had no balls.’ And she added: ‘Thank you Mr. Lee Daniels, and you Mr Tyler Perry, thank you Miss Oprah Winfrey.’ It’s not clear what Tyler and Oprah did to incur Mo’Nique’s wrath. Mo’Nique gained a reputation for being ‘difficult’ to work with after she refused to promote Precious, according to an interview she did with The Hollywood Reporter in 2015.
