MTV Video Music Awards Nominations Announced

MTV announced nominations for the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday using Instagram Live. The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from The Forum in Inglewood, California on August 27.

Kendrick Lamar landed the most nominations of the year with eight nods for his video Humble. Katy Perry and The Weeknd are tied for five nominations each.

Video Of The Year went to five top artists, including Lamar for Humble, Bruno Mars for 24K Magic, Alessia Cara for Scars To Your Beautiful, DJ Khaled with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller for Wild Thoughts and The Weeknd for Reminder.

Best pals Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift will go head to head in the Best Collaboration category. They will face off with frenemy Katy Perry. Gomez is named for her song We Don’t Talk Anymore with Charlie Puth. Swift was listed for her work with Zayn Malik for I Don’t Wanna Live Forever. And Perry was recognized for her work with Calvin Harris and Pharrell Williams on Feels.
