Monday was a rough day for Serena Williams, but thankfully her husband Alexis Ohanian was more than happy to take on some daddy duties. Ohanian was spotted out with the couple’s daughter Olympia just hours after Williams revealed she had to pull out of the French Open due to an arm injury. The Reddit co-founder wore Olympia strapped to his chest in a baby carrier as he walked the streets of Paris on Monday.

Ohanian, who had been in the stands to support William during the tournament last week, was dressed down for running errands. Williams brought up her daughter as she revealed the news that she would not be able to continue in the French Open.

“I’m beyond disappointed,” she said. “I gave up so much, time with my daughter, all for this moment, so it’s really difficult to be in this situation. I’ve never had this before, I’ve never felt this in my life, but it’s so painful and I don’t know how to manage it. I’ve had every injury in the book but this is different.”

This is the first time Williams has ever pulled out of a Grand Slam. It also meant the tennis superstar would not be able to face-off against Maria Sharapova in a much anticipated match-up.
