Shereé Whitfield broke down in tears on Sunday’s RHOA Reunion when she admitted her mother found out she was a victim of domestic abuse by watching the show.
The 47-year-old star of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta said she had kept it a closely guarded secret for over 10 years that she had been abused by her ex-husband, former football star Bob Whitfield. Fellow housewife Kenya Moore first exposed her as an abuse victim during a fiery feud — then Bob himself joked about his abuse while Shereé considered rekindling their relationship during the past ninth season.
Shereé broke down in tears during the second part of the show’s four-part reunion special as she revealed that even her own mother had no idea until she saw the show. ‘I would never have talked about this had it not come up. I’ve never talked about this,’ she said, wiping away tears and admitting she has still not talked to her three children about it.
