After filing a lawsuit against WME agent Adam Venit for alleged sexual assault, actor Terry Crews believes he’s facing retaliation in the form of surveillance. In October, Crews revealed on Twitter that he was groped at a party by a powerful Hollywood agent whom he later identified was Venit. Crews soon filed a police report and in December filed a lawsuit against Venit. Now he believes he’s facing blowback for coming forward, noting that his assailant is the founding partner of an $8 billion corporation.
My assailant Adam Venit is the founding partner at @WME, a corporation worth over $8 billion.
I believe my family is being tracked and possibly bugged.

I also believe @unclerush was asked to pressure me into dropping my case by @WME execs. Somehow they thought he was the “King of Black people”.
Someone hacked into the computer my son and I built together. I have to shut it down and replace the hard drive.

LAPD task force detectives let me know these people don’t play fair. There are a lot of secrets to protect, and they will do anything to keep them.
The town is compromised. But me, and my team, are not.
If I were to have a timely “accident” — you know where to look.

Retaliation in some form is expected- I would be naive to think otherwise…
But vulnerability and openness is actually my best protection.
I’m ready.

“I believe my family is being tracked and possibly bugged,” Crews wrote on Twitter. “Someone hacked into the computer my son and I built together. I have to shut it down and replace the hard drive.”
The former NFL star also believes Russell Simmons was asked to “pressure” him into dropping his case by WME executives. Crews previously posted an email from Simmons that asked him to give Venit a pass. Simmons himself has now been accused of raping four women; he has denied the allegations.
“Somehow they thought he was the ‘King of Black people,'” Crews tweeted about Simmons. Crews also claimed that the LAPD informed him that Hollywood big shots don’t play fair, tweeting that “there are a lot of secrets to protect, and they will do anything to keep them.”
He added that if he were to have a timely “accident,” “you know where to look.” Wow. People need to maybe stop sexually harassing or assaulting people instead of trying to come after the folks they assault.
