The custody battle between this former childhood sweethearts took a dramatic turn in a Los Angeles court on Thursday.
Both Robin Thicke and his ex-wife Paula Patton headed to court to try to gain temporary sole custody of their son Julian with each claiming the other was being investigated by the Department of Children and Family Services. But the 39-year-old singer not only lost his bid to have the six-year-old reside from him, he has now been banned from being even near the boy, according to TMZ. The website claims the judge rejected his attempt to get temporary custody of his son, giving it instead to Paula and also issued, at her request, a domestic violence restraining order.
The Blurred Lines singer is barred from seeing his son and his ex, the 41-year-old actress , along with her mother, Joyce. DCFS launched an investigation into the singer on January 3, TMZ reports. The department became involved after Julian allegedly told school teachers that his pop-star father spanked him a number of times and even ‘punched’ him, a source close to the case told the website.
