President Donald Trump has publicly defended with Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease, days after Fauci testified to Congress on the pandemic. However, Mr. Trump continues to challenge the infectious disease expert publicly, rejecting Dr. Fauci’s analysis of why the United States has experienced surges of COVID cases while continuing to promise a vaccine will be available soon.
