It was a double standing ovation for AURN’S April Ryan last night at the 43rd Annual Gracie Awards, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. April rocked the house in a stunning red Jovani gown. It was truly an evening of love for Ryan as everyone in the building wanted to get a selfie with the White House Correspondent who doesn’t mind putting Trump and his administration in check.
In fact, other Gracie winners like Elizabeth Marvel from the TV series “Homeland” acknowledged Ryan in her acceptance speech, as did the legendary Rita Moreno who gave April a huge shout out as she was accepting her award.
The Gracie Awards were established in 1975 to celebrate broadcasting that demonstrates superior quality and what it means to be a 21st century woman. April received the Gracie for her interview feature “On The Record” heard on American Urban Radio Networks.
