AURN in was In The Crowd for the Curlfest 2019 experience! As the largest natural beauty festival in America, the experience created by Curly Girl Collective (Charisse Higgins, Simone Mair, Tracey Coleman, Gia Lowe and Melody Henderson) has expanded in both space and scope. With the Black Diaspora present and in full display, AURN’s Digital team explored the festival grounds and pink carpet. Our guest hosts – beauty and fashion influencers, Nneoma Ng and George “Stuylin” Mowrie moved through the crowd to see what the experience of Curlfest is for both men and women.
The festival has grown tremendiously over the last five years that it’s location moved from it’s unique location in Brooklyn, NYC to the massive lawn of Randall’s Island located in Manhattan, NY. With a reach of thousands – many of who come to seek hair-care products, styles and inspiration – Curlfest is a must destination for all things Black and beautiful.
