Trump Issues National Emergency in Response to Coronavirus

President Trump officially declared a national emergency in response to the coronavirus outbreak. The full power of the Federal Government is at the ready and states are being ordered to set up emergency operation centers.

April Ryan speaks with Karen Bass (D-CA) about the designation and what Trump’s interpretation of the declaration and who receives emergency aid. While delivering remarks in the Rose Garden, the president was flanked by several CEOs of retail and pharmaceutical companies.
